It's a strange world! Day 24
Today I met up with a magician friend. He's just lost his son. 19 years old.
But no matter what happens to my friend and believe me, everything does, he's always upbeat and positive.
As we set off on a walk, he said, "I'm going to ask you something strange and I don't mind if you say no."
Oh god. Don't you hate it when people say that?
What did I imagine?
Not this.
He said, "Would you be the celebrant for the funeral?"
Oh.
"YES!" I said. "Oh, YES!" as I shot my arms towards the sky. "I'd LOVE to be the celebrant!"
"OK" He said. "But there are some unusual things I need you to do."
Which is what this photograph is about. Yes, it's a colander.
What's even better is that when I was searching for a photo of a colander, I find this picture and it's of a friend of mine (Ian Harris!) from my sports classes in Brighton! Ha!

Anyway, I can't tell you about it yet because it will spoil the surprise for the people coming. There will only a maximum of 30 people as per government guidelines but still!
I was the celebrant for my Dad's funeral. I didn't think of asking at the time whether it was legal or not but apparently it is. Anyone can lead a funeral. It's probably a nice job to do, I might look into doing it more often. But please don't all start dying, that wouldn't be fun.
Meanwhile, my friend Nicky Mitchell, who is helping me with this Manifest a Million plus readers is trying very hard to keep me on track. I keep thinking up marvellous new ideas for other things to do, like being a celebrant, like creating a magic performance piece of out the opening chapter of the book, like learning a wierd Chines shuffle dance. She says she needs me to FOCUS!
Apparently I have to get my social media up to scratch.
Which is why I've been enjoying hash-tagging @BorisJohnson and @EdwinaCurrie etc today to tell them off for not supporting the Arts at the moment while slipping in a quick plug for the book. It's worth a punt!
After posting all over the media, I was just this minute asked to speak at a rally in Trafalgar Square on behalf of the 3 million #ExcludedUK which would be an honour but far too scary!
What a day!
And all in my little magical cottage in Bardsea.
Love love love
