Don't push the river. Day 43

First blog this week! Have you missed me?

Let's recap why I am even writing this blog!

I'm reminding me rather than you.

I may have got a little distracted.

Since showbiz is clearly not coming back anytime soon, I decided in September, that I could use this next year to find a million readers of Spun Into Gold - The Secret Life of a Secret Magician, my gold spun love letter to the world.

Rather than relying on 'magical thinking' to create this in earthly reality, my commitment was to do a daily action step towards it.

As with most new projects, I was enthusiastic and motivated. I worked full days and I remember rushing to finish my blog in before 8pm each day.

After working with my fabulous friend Nicky Mitchell, both the paperback and E-version book are now on my improved website. The audiobook is available directly from me on Abra TV as well as on Audible and Amazon. I was on a few podcasts and BBC radio shows. Currently Nicky and I are working on my Speaker showreel so I can give it to speaker agents for real or virtual gigs.

But you know, slowly, slowly.

Slowly? Why?

Because.

Because I believe things fall into place in their own divine timing. As the saying goes, "You can't push the river." You set your intention, you let it go.

And you know how magic really works? You'll know if you've read 'Spun'. You have to follow your joy. You listen to what you would like to do today, what would give you joy?

What has been giving me joy this week is painting. Colour. Giving myself time to be creative without any expectation. I'm a beginner, I'm just having fun, I'm just exploring and learning.

I'll show you what I've done tomorrow, it needs another coat of paint anyway before it's ready for you to see!

This is how magic works. Everything is unfolding perfectly as it should.
