Book Club Bonanza! Day 48

I started this blog 3 months ago because I wanted to document my daily commitment to perform a minimum of one action towards my goal of finding a million readers for Spun Into Gold.

Some days I'll admit, I've put my head in the sand and said, "Not today, sorry." But on the whole, poco a poco, little by little we are getting there, one extra reader after another. The number of reviews are slowly rising.

All those cliches about slow progress come to mind:

Rome wasn't built in a day.

One step at a time.

How do you eat an elephant? (I'm vegan, I don't!) But the answer is a little bit at a time.

Today's step forward is to tell everyone that I'm available for Book Clubs! Of course, I always was, but with the new zoom-ability that the post-covid world offers, I can now offer book clubs a Zoom question and answer session. Perfect.

I've found during lockdown that I haven't been inspired to create a zoom magic show, but I've really loved talking to groups and answering their questions about a magician's life.

Rotary clubs, Inner Wheel clubs (wives of Rotarians), Magic Clubs, Facebook groups. With the additional bonus that I don't have to squeeze into a corset or even leave the house.

Comfy clothes, a cup of tea and a chat. Loving it!

So if you have a group that would like to read the book or even ask me questions and read the book after - a bit topsy turvy but whatever works - let's talk dates!

Today I'm heading off this Monday morning to hike in the Lake District with Barrington, a an magician friend. We both don't have any work in December which is traditionally a magician's busiest month. So we're making the best of it and today's bright dry weather and rambling around Ambleside and Loughrigg Fell.

2020 is such an odd year. I think I will always remember it as the year of silver linings.
