Adventures of Romany - November 2009

Romany and Bongo! A new puppy is snoring gently by my side as I write and I'm taking full advantage of not having to safeguard my socks and everything else from this very chewy beast for a moment or two. Maybe it was the heat in Dubai that went to my head but when my fella suggested innocently that we could get a dog, I was excited beyond measure and the very next week we came home with a 6 weeks old bundle of black named Bongo after my lovely friend Ali Bongo who recently danced his curly gold slippers to the next realm.

So that's what I've been up to for the last 6 weeks; walking, playing, rescuing knickers from and training Bongo. He is a mini Labradoodle, black as the ace of spades and impossible to see on stage - doh! i didn't think that one through. And TOTALLY absorbing. My magic studio is a Bongo-free zone and today I'm going to make a plan to get back to it and leave the very cute pup alone, promise, promise, promise.

It's been great to be back from the Dubai desert and I hope you enjoyed the wonderful Indian summer as much as I did. My other piece of good news is that the Magic Circle recently named me Member of the Inner Magic Circle with a gold star award for performance. In the magic world this is ooooh exciting and I'm very honoured. And yes, I promise to get back in that studio... soooooooon.

Right then, no time like the present.... And... my favourite quote today is 'All is well, you will never get it done. Have fun! Have fun! Have fun!'
