Hallo again!

Now, this may not mean much to my overseas friends but I had to share this photo with you. I was up at the Blackpool Magic Convention in February and met a huge hero of mine…. Yes, Ken Dodd!!!! I’ve seen him perform many times and have always admired him, especially now as at the age of 80 he continues to do three hour “Happiness’ shows a couple of times a week, making audiences laugh all over the country. I’m pictured here between two great comics, the other being www.derekscott.ca star of Slava’s Snowshow. I obviously need to work on my comedy hairstyle…

Many people have been asking me how the credit crunch is affecting the entertainment business. The corporate party scene is definitely quieter than it was but I’ve found that I’m still busy with lots of birthday parties including a 40th, 50th & 80tt last month, where I perform my cabaret show with or without close-up magic to start the party going.

Some agents for cruise ship shows have approached me to travel the world! The ships require 2 x 45 minute long shows which is a lot of material so I’m currently working on creating that. It will be nice to see some winter sunshine when it’s ready!

This other photo is my new Toast Mistress dress! Created for the entertainment event when a new and much more fun style of Toasting is required! It was designed & made for me by the very creative Kevin of www.renaissancecreativedesign.com. He can make anything and is highly recommended! Please book me while it still fits!
It’s always good to hear back from you, especially from friends that I haven’t seen for ages, I hope our paths will all cross again before too long. Until then, many thanks for being on my ‘Adventures of Romany’ list and I send you all best wishes for a fabulous Spring!
